Why I am here

Being a mum is a political job. Last year when my daughter was born the world of motherhood became my world too. It's a busy place... with more pitfalls than you can count. Being a mum brings joy, but if you're not careful it can come with a big dollop of guilt. From questions like "should we use a dummy?" to "should my child have the recommended vaccinations?" there are always two extreme points of view, and they are always loaded with emotion.

I'm not saying I'm above all of this. In fact I'm the first to admit I get passionate about the choices I make. Which is why this blog is here. I am an ex-blogger. In a former life I blogged about politics and current affairs. But I don't think motherhood is so far off from that.

As well as addressing parenting issues though I'm hoping this will be a place where people can just pick up tips on good products, fun resources for kids and entertaining anecdotes!

Thanks for visiting.
